On 1 July 2026, by court ruling in civil case no. 2-26-3347/18, Harju County Court declared the bankruptcy of debtor ELMO Rent AS (registry number 12994939). Jüri Sirel was appointed as the bankruptcy trustee.
Creditors are obliged to notify the bankruptcy trustee of all their claims against the debtor that arose before the declaration of bankruptcy, regardless of the basis for the claim and the term of the claim, no later than two months from the date of publication of the bankruptcy notice in the publication Ametlikud Teadaanded (Official Notices) (Bankruptcy Act, § 93 (1)). Claims that have not been submitted in due time but have been recognized shall be satisfied in the last instance (Bankruptcy Act, § 153 (1) (3)). Only the bankruptcy trustee may accept the performance of an obligation owed to the debtor that is part of the bankruptcy estate after the declaration of bankruptcy (Bankruptcy Act, § 37).
As a result, creditors of the bankrupt car rental business Elmo Rent have the deadline until 1 September 2026 to submit their claims to the bankruptcy trustee. Officially formulated claims should be submitted to the bankruptcy trustee Jüri Sirel at info@sirel.com or juri.sirel@sirel.com.
